About this development/site: As part of the Chrysalis consortium, Powerminster Gleeson Services are involved in the regeneration of the Stanhope Estate in Ashford, Kent. This includes:
- Comprehensive refurbishment of all Ashford Borough Council owned properties
- Improving neighbourhoods, streets and open spaces
- Demolition of the existing flats and the shopping centre
- Redevelopment to provide new houses and flats. Over 40% of all new homes will be houses and flat blocks will be no more than 3 storeys high
- Creation of a new north-south pedestrian "Learning Link" with high quality landscape, lighting and signage
- New retail area accessible from Stanhope Road
- Stanhope Centre, a new building built next to the Parish Rooms, providing community facilities set in a central park
- Key traffic calming along Stanhope Road
What we do: Powerminster Gleeson Services were employed to provide installation and refurbishment services on the new and existing properties within the scheme, including:
- Kitchen Installations
- Central Heating
- Bathrooms
- Disabled Adaptations
- Decoration & New Doors
- Asbestos Removal

The Chrysalis consortium were finalists in the HVCA awards in May 2008 having been nominated by Ashford Borough Council.
