Powerminster Gleeson Services are fully aware of its responsibilities as a major company operating in a
sector where Health and Safety is paramount, and where the impact on the environment
can be serious and lasting.
Best practice is integral to our way of working and we strive continually to improve our
performance, meet key targets, in short we aim to rank among the best in our industry.
We develop a specific environmental plan for every project we undertake, which identifies
potential risks and lays out the control measures.
In addition to this, we not only audit every project, but independent auditors inspect and
monitor what we do, to ensure our standards are among the highest achievable.
Environmental Impact:-
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
- One of our key targets, and biggest
challenges, is to reduce the amount
of waste we produce. Our waste
strategy requires every site to
identify expected waste streams,
costs and disposal routes. Emphasis
is placed on raising recycling levels,
reducing costs and associated risks
|
|
| |
- Our environmental training
programme is designed to train all
employees to an awareness level and
technical competencies appropriate to
their role and level of responsibility.
In particular we concentrate on
our site supervisors who have the
greatest potential to avert any harm
to the environment from our activities
|
|
| |
- Our Environmental Management
Systems are audited to ISO 14001.
